Drayberks Wins Anvil

And so the host goes… and the SILVER ANVIL FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT goes to MPT South Drayberks!

It is the first Anvil Award for the MPT South. And we are proud! Annually, the top 100 companies of the Philippines strive to get this prestigious award, so it is no mean feat contending with more seasoned corporations.

The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) chooses the best among the best public relations programs on a sustained basis, like developmental community projects and foundation programs that were implemented before the fourth quarter of the previous year and continue to be implemented at the time of entry, provided that there were significant impacts, improvements and/or results during the eligibility period of the award cycle.

Drayberks is a word play between two words Drayber + Barkada. The program aims to build a community of drivers who practice safety & cognizance of their crucial role in using the expressway, starting from planning and preparing for the trip, introduction of the personnel that they will encounter like the toll tellers, security guards, patrol officers, and emphasis on the rules and regulations and safety practices, ensuring that both driver and passenger are safe and secure until they reach their destination.

Four years in the running, and with more than 300 drivers  from different transport segments such as UV Express, Logistics, bus and truck drivers have received the Safety Orientation. The program has been sustained by employee volunteer trainors and the MPT South Communication and Stakeholder Team with the goal of  decreasing vehicular accidents in CAVITEX.

Motivated and inspired from this win, the team aims to make the program more engaging to reach wider audiences so that the tribe of safety conscious drivers increases.
